VI. BUILT AND VISUAL SPACE

i. Archaeological remains The temple of the Pontic Mother of Gods, which is rather good preserved, has been completely excavated.

ii. Leadership M. Aurelios Koures Hestiaiou, ὁ καὶ ἱερεὺς Μητρὸς θεᾶς Ποντίας, ho kai hiereus Metros theas Pontias (ll. 4-5).
iii. Members Besides the officials (VII.iv: Officials) at least 8 ordinary members (names + patronyms).
iv. Officials One εἱαιρόδ[ου]λος Μητρὸς θεᾶς Ποντία[ς] αὐλητής, hiairod[ou]los (l. hierodoulos) Metros theas Pontia[s] auletes (same person as the auletes in CAPInv. 1156).
One θεοφόρος, theophoros (i.e. bearer of the image of the deity) and πατὴρ τῆς θύνης, pater tes thynes (‘president of the feast’).

i. Comments M. Aurelios Koures Hestiaiou, the priest, is the same as the ἱερονόμος, hieronomos, of the Ἀσιανῶν σπεῖρα, Asianon speira (IGBulg I2 23 in CAPInv. 1152) and the “first archon of the city in an unpublished ephebic list” (Sharankov).
