Comments |
For the terms συμπόσιον, symposion, ποσιασταί, posiastai, and συμποσιασταί, symposiastai, and the title συμποσίαρχος/συμποσιάρχης, symposiarchos/symposiarches, see the comments in CAPInv. 536. For the Thracian God Souregethes, see the bibliography at CAPInv. 1490. The two persons named in the text (husband and wife) were not necessarily members of the association; cf. the relevant comment of GRA I 69. The deceased and his wife were Roman citizens of Thracian origin, as indicated by their cognomina.
