Theophoric:Σωτηριασταί, Soteriastai - From Zeus, specifically the epithet Σωτηρ, Soter (Morelli, I Culti in Rodi [Pisa, 1959] 46-52, 136-147).

Ἡρωϊσταί, Heroistai - The exact nature of the name is disputed. According to Morelli, it is a militant epithet of the Egyptian deity Sarapis. From Ἣρως (θέος), Heros (theos) (Morelli, I Culti in Rodi [Pisa, 1959] 56, 150-51). However, it is also a possibility, that the name derives from a more general reference to the heroes.
