Other:The members of the association are self-identified as φιλοπαίκτορες, philopaiktores (ll. 4-5), which denotes either 'jesters' or, more probably, people fond of shows and sports in general (see Nigdelis 2006: 192-4).

ii. Leadership On the basis of their name, the association is led by Loukios Rousteikeilios Agathopous, who bears no title.
iii. Members The members are called συνήθεις, synetheis (ll. 3-4).

XI. INTERACTION

i. Local interaction If this is an association of sport-lovers, it is noteworthy that its leader bears the same cognomen (Agathopous) -but a different nomen- as the deceased member of the other association of possible spectators attested at Thessaloniki (see CAPInv. 794) .

XII. NOTES

i. Comments The most probable interpretation of the association's name suggests that the members were an organized group of spectators for all sorts of sports and shows (see IV.ii, above).
