Note Two members are known so far, one man (IG VII 685, l. 1: Lykaon) and one woman (IG VII 688, l. 1: Elpis). The pronoun (ταύτην, tauten in IG VII 688, l. 2) leaves no doubt that the association accepted women.
iv. Status Given their names (Lykaon and Elpis) it is possible that the two members are of servile background.

i. Comments A third funerary inscription (IG VII 687; Roesch 1982: 131, no. 12) has also been attributed to the Athanaistai of Tanagra. The reading is problematic, and this document can no longer belong to this dossier (see Marchand 2015).
