In line 2 it reads Ιαλιτων, which is however preceded by ΝΕΙΓ ̣
For this reason the term Ialiton may have been the last compound of a composite name, provided that the preceding letters were part of the name.

XII. NOTES

i. Comments This inscription is included in the Tituli Alieni by the editors of IG XII.6.2, on the basis that it was found together with two inscriptions (IG XII 6.2 1198, 1199) that came to Samos from Miletos.

i. Private association Probable
Note The use of the term thiasos to describe the group suggests a cultic group. However, due to the fragmentary nature of the evidence the exact name and nature of the group escape us.
