Comments |
Heuresibios, the founder of the thiasos, became a local hero, insofar we know a graffito bearing a dedication to Hermes and Heuresibios (IGDOP 12). The same Heuresibios is also mentioned by IGDOP 8 (statue representing him consacrated by his son to Zeus Ἐλευθέριος, Eleutherios) and IGDOP 10 (epigram praising Heuresibios, who brought the liberty and autonomy to the city).
In l. 2 Heuresib[iadai] (suggested by Ju.G. Vinogradov, SEG 37, 672) is not a likely restoration because it is too long (Stolba 2013).
