VIII. PROPERTY AND POSSESSIONS

iv. Endowments The association is the recipient of a funerary endowment (stephanotikon; in Pennacchietti's edition (AAT 101: 317, no. 45), it is qualified as "great", mega, but the Roberts have plausibly argued for a different reading). The coronation of the grave shall take place on the birthday (genethlion, AAT 101: 317, no. 45, l. 8) of the deceased woman's son.

Honours/Other activities Altertümer von Hierapolis 40 is an honorific decree for a man who had served as strategos, agonothetes, grammateus (Altertümer von Hierapolis 40, ll. 6-7) of the temples of Asia, presbeutes and archiereus (Altertümer von Hierapolis 40, ll. 12-14; he is described as a "benefacter of the homeland".
