Treasury/Funds |
The inscription is apparently a bipartite list of contributors to an association, a thiasos whose precise vocation is unknown, see CAP Inv. 836 for further discussion. Nothing is known about the finances of the thiasos of Theodotos the son of Antipatros, except that contributions to it were also promised.

Number |
Names listed under the second rubric of the inscription (lines 27ff.) may be interpreted as members of the thiasos; see also below IX.5. If this assumption is correct, we would have 7 adult individuals (and perhaps one son) forming a partial membership list of this association.

Status |
Most of the contributors are members of Kaunian tribes and demes, therefore citizens. From their ethnic identifications, the individuals come from a wide range of different localities within the wider Kaunian polity, see Marek 2006: 84 for further discussion.

Relations |
It is probable that some of the members of the thiasos are related to Theodotos the son of Antipatros. Ἀγρεοφῶν Ἀντιπάτρου (line 29) and another son of Antipatros (line 35) are perhaps the brothers of the founder/leader; both names uniquely occur without ethnics.

Note |
Though only obliquely mentioned in the inscription for the purposes of a comparison, the private character of the association is difficult to doubt.
