Whether the naming element mentioned on the fourth line (-]νίων κ[οινὸν], -]nion k[oinon]) should be seen in connection to the Athanaistai is difficult to assess due to the state of the inscription. The inscription is completely broken on the right. The descriptive term was restored by Maiuri, which seems likely based on the phraseology of the inscription and the presence of the letter 'κ' before the break on the fourth line (Maiuri, NSER 28, l. 4). |
