Comments |
The original editor dismisses the identification of this group as members of a synbiosis because of the adjective ἴδιοι, idioi. Therefore, Tanrıver translates the term συνβιῶται, synbiotai, as 'companions'. With this single testimony whose exact provenance is unknown, it is impossible to decide whether this is simply referring to a group of friends that honoured Auxanon or an established private association.

Note |
The single surviving attestation of this group does not provide any precise detail about their nature, members or continuity. Hence its evaluation as a private association can only be possible.
