ii. Leadership The association is led by the ἀρχισυνάγωγος θεοῦ ἥρωος, archisynagogos theou heroos (ll. 2-3).

IX. MEMBERSHIP

v. Relations The separate (painted?) panel referred to by the inscription was dedicated to the deceased by his son- or brother-in-law Axidares; it is not, however, certain that the latter was a member of the association.

X. ACTIVITIES

iii. Worship The title of ἀρχισυνάγωγος θεοῦ ἥρωος, archisynagogos theou heroos (ll. 2-3) for the leader of the group suggests worship by the group.

iv. Honours/Other activities The association dedicates a honorific funerary altar to one of its deceased members.

XI. INTERACTION

i. Local interaction The deceased, Baibios Antonios, may be related to Loukios Baibios, a decurio of Kassandreia attested in another inscription found at Hagios Mamas (CIG II 2007c).

XII. NOTES

i. Comments The only term used for this association is the term kollegion. Given that the leader of the association is termed archisynagogos of the God Hero, however, we should maybe understand the association's full name as κολλήγιον θεοῦ ἥρωος, kollegion theou heroos, 'the college of (the devotees of) the God Hero'.
