Worship |
The topos was singled out in honour of the god Necht(p)haraus, a deified general, closely connected with the cult of the crocodile god Souchos: cf. Ryholt 2018. It is likely that this god was worshiped by those who gathered in this topos.

Comments |
The present graffito on the pavement of the forecourt of the temple singled out the place where an association in honour of the god Necht(p)haraus regularly assembled for their activities: cf. C.Jud.Syr.Eg. p. 45.

Note |
It seems probable that the topos in question was the place of meeting of an association in honour of the god Necht(p)haraus, within the larger section dedicated to the crocodile god Souchos-Sobek, in the complex of the temple of Omboi.
