It is perhaps noteworthy that both associations securely attested in Epirus (cf. CAPInv. 842) use the very term, koinon, used by the Epirote state and its subdivisions.

Found reused on a Muslim monument at (mod.) Salar i Sipërm, to the north-west of Tepelenë (modern toponym) in ancient Chaonia, at the northwestern borders of Epirus.

The members are called σύγγονοι, syngonoi, "relatives". The term is poetic and rarely used in epigraphic prose.

Kleomachos son of Nikanos, Filisstos son of Lykotas and Nikanos son of Filisstos are obviously related, as expected in a kinship-based collectivity.
