i. Local interaction In the same spot, ca. 40 dedications to the same deities have been found.

XII. NOTES

i. Comments The diverse interpretations ("lovers of vine" or "lovers of angels") result from the fact that the stele is broken exactly where the right stroke of the letter pi would have been. Given the new parallel adduced by Malay, the reading "lovers of vine" seems certain.
