Note ẖny.t: Short Texts I 168 l. 7. In the four editions of this inscription, the word ‘association’ is translitterated sn.t, but this reading was rejected by De Cenival 2006.

ii. Source(s) provenance The stela may come from Dendera, according to its contents. It is located now in the Cairo Museum.

XI. INTERACTION

i. Local interaction The association had connections with official authorities, as the strategos of the nome is one of the dedicant of the inscription. The association had probably interactions with the temple of Dendera too.

XII. NOTES

i. Comments The dedication is made by the strategos (l. 3-6) Ptwlms son of Pa-nȝ (Ptolemaios son of Panas) and a village scribe, Pȝ-ʿẖm-pȝ-šr-Ỉs.t son of Pȝ-šr-Wsỉr (Pachompshenes son of Psenosiris). We do not know if they had a role in the association or if they just took part in the dedication.
The strategos Ptolemaios son of Panas has several religious titles cited in the inscription (l. 3-5): prophet of Hathor (pȝ ḥm-nṯr Ḥwt-Ḥr), prophet of Horus (pȝ ḥm-nṯr Ḥr), prophet of Ihy (pȝ ḥm-nṯr Iḥy), prophet of Isis (pȝ ḥm-nṯr Ỉs.t), overseer of the treasury of Hathor, mistress of Ioun, of Isis the great goddess, of Horus the Behedite, great god master of the sky (pȝ mr pȝ pr-ḥḏ n Ḥw.t-Ḥr nb Ỉwn Ỉs.t tȝ nṯr.t ʿȝ.t Ḥr-Bḥd.ṱ nṯr ʿȝ nb p.t).
