VI. BUILT AND VISUAL SPACE

i. Archaeological remains The inscription was found at the sanctuary of Apollon in Voni, to the south of ancient Kythroi. For the votive sculptures and inscriptions found there, see Ohnefalsch-Richter 1884.

IX. MEMBERSHIP

iv. Status The ethnic in the name of the association, which was probably related to a village in this area, suggests that the association was one of the thiasoi consisting of Ptolemaic military settlers and their descendants. For these thiasoi, see Mitford 1961: 141-2, no. 39; Hermary 2004: 54-5; SEG 54: 1531.

X. ACTIVITIES

iii. Worship The association conducted animal sacrifice (to hiereon, l. 3) to Apollon in the fourth regnal year of a Ptolemaic ruler.
