i. Treasury/Funds The association must have funds in order to erect an honorific stele such as the one mentioned here, erected at its own expenses (ἐκ τῶν ἰδίων, ek ton idion, Herrmann (1996): ll. 14-5)

X. ACTIVITIES

iv. Honours/Other activities The association erected the honorific stele awarded by the demos of Sardis to T. Ioulios Lepidos [ ]genianos, archiereus of Asia and of the city. He is ‘First of the city’, (protos tes poleos), because of his ambition of glory and his benevolence towards his fatherland.
