VIII. PROPERTY AND POSSESSIONS

i. Treasury/Funds The koinon thiasiton together with an unknown individual from the phyle of Klymeneis appear in a list of prateres (guarantors) for a sum of 150 drachmai. It concerns the sale of property for a total sum of 4,700 drachmai cf. IG XII.5 872 l. 16.

XI. INTERACTION

i. Local interaction The koinon thiasiton appear in a list of guarantors (prateres) together with an unknown individual from the phyle of Klymeneis. The other guarantors are individuals from various phylai on Tenos (the phylai of Eleithyaieis, Donakeis, Klymeneis, Thryesioi, and Thestieis). The transaction concerns the sale of property. The buyer is from the city phyle and the sellers are from the phyle of Eschatiotai.

XII. NOTES

i. Comments The property sale in which the koinon thiasiton are involved as guarantors took place in the month Anthesterion or Artemision (IG XII.5 872, l. 48).

Note The use of the term koinon combined with the term thiasitai and the attestation of the group in a list of guarantors for the sale of property certainly indicate an association; whether it was 'private' is difficult to establish. Cf. Étienne 1990: 42, n. 21.
