VII. ORGANIZATION

iii. Members The technical term used is συνθύται, synthytai. 22 male members are listed, all with patronymics and no ethnics, indicating that they all are citizens. Several names, such as Πτωΐλλει, Ptoilei,
Ἱσμεινίας, Hismeinias, and Ἀσωπόδωρος, Asopodoros, bear a significant local Boiotian colour (see Marchand 2011).

iii. Worship Dedication of a statue of Athena. The sculptor is Lysistratos of Athens (l. 13).
Deities worshipped Athena with an epithet starting with lambda. Schachter (SEG 31: 497(2)) suggests Athena Longatis, and points to the similarity of the inscription with IG VII 553 from Tanagra.
