                            There were several synodoi at Smyrna; it is unclear whether or not this fragment should be associated with one of them. L. 4 mentions a συνέδριον, synedrion (possibly the γέροντες, gerontes; cf. Petzl ad loc.), ll. 6-7 could be restored τοῖς μετέχου[σι τοῦ γυμνασίου], tois metechou[si tou gymnasiou] (cf. Petzl ad loc.).
