i. Local interaction The grammateus of the halieis aigialou Berenikidos Thesmophorou wrote the oath on behalf of the fishermen of Narmouthis and Berenikis Thesmophorou (CAPInv. 1445), with whom he also swore: they appear to have shared some interests and activities.

Note The lack of a definitive descriptive term is problematic. Nonetheless, the content of the papyrus, and the similarities in hierarchy to other private associations probably suggests that this was one too.
