IG XIV 616 was found after an earthquake in 1783 as a block reused in the extra-urban defensive walls of the late medieval Reggio Calabria, between the modern via Biagio Camagna and Giulia, at the crossroad in via Torrione.

Archaeological remains |
The gymnasium of Rhegion (Theophr. Hist. pl. 4.6-7; Plin. HN 12.6-7) was found nearby the Imperial public baths, the so called 'Terme Genoese' in Corso Garibaldi (cfr. Lazzarini 2004: 177; D'Amore 2007: 30).
