VII. ORGANIZATION

i. Founder(s) Melitios is not the founder, but the "restorer" of the association, if the restoration ἀ[νανε]ωσάμενον, a[nane]osamenon (ll. 5-6) is correct.
ii. Leadership Melitios was probably the leader of the association as well; he is named as --αρχης, --arches in l. 5. [Μυστ]άρχης?, [Myst]arches?

iii. Worship The nature of the latreia implied in the group's designation is unclear.
Deities worshipped Sarapis?

The inscription begins with a religious formula: "Great is the name of the god" (ll. 1-2). This and the unusual term λατρευταί, latreutai has led to the incorporation of the inscription into the corpora on Egyptian cults (Hölbl 1978: 53; SIRIS 304; RICIS II 304/0613).
