The leader of the group is defined as ἀ̣[ρ]χιπρ[ο]στατῶν, archiprostaton (l. 3). His name is Sosandros, Aitolos: he was a military man, ilarches and hipparches.

Given the presence of a hiereus and an archiprostaton, it is possible that the group behind the setting up of the present inscription was a private association. However, it cannot be excluded that the group was rather a military unit or something of the kind.
