IX. MEMBERSHIP

v. Relations Heron has a sister, Hermitarion alias Sarapias, but she is apparently not a member of this association.
vi. Proper names and physical features Heron, son of Hermanoubion, and grandson of Heron.

XI. INTERACTION

i. Local interaction Difficult to say, but certainly related to status given that this document relates to an exchange between the local administration and the member of this association.

XII. NOTES

i. Comments Heron, with his sister, owned c. 21 5/8 ar. (2 ar. of which Heron owned himself) of property in and near the village of Lagis.

If the association here is the same as in CAPInv. 1912 then perhaps the group were based in Alexandria, then they simply moved around to participate in regional games as they saw fit. Members could own land in other parts of Egypt's chora, of course. (MG)

XIII. EVALUATION

i. Private association Certain
Note This appears to relate to a private association, but the members of these groups certainly enjoyed significant imperial privilege (as the Pap.Agon. papyri clearly illustrate).
