Theophoric:Ἀφροδισιασταί, Aphrodisiastai l.1 - From the goddess Aphrodite (Morrelli, I culti in Rodi (Pisa, 1959), 34-35, 117-18). Here, the element/epiclesis [Basileia] probably identifies this Aphrodite with the principal deity of Cypriot Paphoa, Aphrodite (Phoenician Astarte) Paphia: see S.L. Budin, ‘A Reconsideration of the Aphrodite-Ashtart Syncretism’, Numen: International Review for the History of Religions 51 (2004): 95-145.

The association especially venerated the goddess with her epithet Basileias (Ἀφροδίτασ Βασιλείας, Aphroditas Basileias, l. 1-2).
