VII. ORGANIZATION

ii. Leadership The προστάτης, prostates, was called Epiphanes (ll. 7, 10). He approved the assignment of burial benefits (l. 10).
iv. Officials The association had a γραμματεύς, grammateus, whose name was Apion. He approved the present document (l. 11).
ix. Privileges It seems that the members had the right to a burial indemnity (ταφικόν, taphikon, l. 1), which could be assigned or bequeathed to third parties: on the juridical matters pertaining to the practice, cf. Wolff 1956: 735-40. In the present text the amount for the indemnity is 100 drachmae.

i. Treasury/Funds Given the fact that upon the death of a member burial indemnities would be disbursed, the association had at their disposal and administered funds.
