i. Private association Discarded
Note The designation phretra for an association has parallels in Phrygia and probably Syria (see the archiphrator in ΙGLS I 232), which is why Poland included this group. But Sartre 1982: 83 is probably correct in stating that the φρήτρα Ααθαουηνῶν, phretra Aathaouenon, should be added "à la liste des noms tribaux." Cf. already Poland 1909: 53, note*.
