It is perhaps noteworthy that both associations securely attested in Epirus (cf. CAPInv. 842) use the very term, koinon, used by the Epirote state and its subdivisions.

iii. Members The members are called σύγγονοι, syngonoi, "relatives". The term is poetic and rarely used in epigraphic prose.

Note All four persons identified by name are men.
v. Relations Kleomachos son of Nikanos, Filisstos son of Lykotas and Nikanos son of Filisstos are obviously related, as expected in a kinship-based collectivity.
