VI. BUILT AND VISUAL SPACE

i. Archaeological remains The inscription was found at the sanctuary of Apollon in Voni, to the south of ancient Kythroi. For the votive sculptures and inscriptions found there, see Ohnefalsch-Richter 1884.

IX. MEMBERSHIP

iv. Status aposkeue means 'all persons dependant on the soldiers stationed in a place, both families and servants' (SEG 54: 1531). This implies that the association consisted of Ptolemaic military settlers, their family members and the descendants of them. X. ACTIVITIES

iii. Worship The association conducted animal sacrifice (ethysen to hiereon, l. 3) to Apollo in the month of Gorpiaios, in the third regnal year of a Ptolemaic ruler.
