i.b. Document(s) typology & language/script This Demotic papyrus is an account of a religious association, the name of which is lost. The text is the most ancient attestation of an association in Egypt. There are two columns on the verso and seven on the recto. The payments are made in money, cereals and ointment.
i.c. Physical format(s) The papyrus is 58,2 cm x 27 cm.
ii. Source(s) provenance This papyrus was bought by Revillout in Heidelberg. It is now located in the Louvre (Paris).

VII. ORGANIZATION

ii. Leadership On the recto of the papyrus, the text B, col. 2 explains that a man named Rnp.t-nef (Repetnefer) has been appointed mr mšʿ ("general"), mr šn (lesonis), and scribe (sẖ) of the association. All those offices are usually appointed every year (De Cenival 1972).
iv. Officials The association had at least a representative, a rṯ (Text A, col. 3, l. 1).

iii. Worship The association was maybe dedicated to the god Ỉmn-ḥtp, Amenhotep (recto, text A, col. 2 l. 5).
