XII. NOTES

i. Comments Both Le Guen (2001: p. 133, TE 19) and Aneziri (2003: pp. 417-8, Dubia 1) reach the conclusion that the decree was in all likelihood issued by the Isthmian and Nemean branch on account of the prosopography: the auletes Hermaiondas, presbeutes of the technitai in Delos, can be identified with Hermaiondas, son of Nikias, an auletes from Boiotia, active in the last decades of the third century BC (Stephanis 1988: no. 895).

XIII. EVALUATION

i. Private association Certain
Note Although the name of the technitai is partly restored, Hermaiondas' capacity as a presbeutes sent to Delos and his profession (auletes) leave no doubt about the identity of the body issuing the decree, i.e. the Dionysiac technitai.
