Kraton held the priesthood of Dionysos and the agonothesia. He then went on holding these offices for a second time, by special concession; the plethos of the technitai found him fit to this office/ honour (times, IG XI.4 1061, l. 8). He surpassed his predecessors in the office of agonothesia on account of choregia (donation), dapani (expenditure) and megaloprepeia (magnanimity) (IG XI.4 1061, ll. 5-6).

iv. Status Kraton, son of Zotichos, was aulos-player (auletes). Kraton, an eminent member of the Ionic-Hellespontine association of the technitai and those gathered around Dionysos Kathegemon, is known from nine inscriptions (see Le Guen 2007 for Kraton's career, network and wealth).
v. Relations After 152 BC Kraton was granted citizenship by Pergamon. He was close in the circles of the Pergamene court (Eumenes II and Attalos II). He was connected to various associations:

iv. Honours/Other activities Kraton was honoured by the association of the Dionysiac technitai of Ionia and the Hellespont, and those gathered around Dionysos Kathegemon.
He was granted the honorific title euergetes for all his benefactions (euergetemata).
He was crowned with a wreath ek tou nomou (l. 20) for his virtue (aretes) and goodwill (eunoias) towards the association. The crown was to be announced for the rest of his life by the agonothetes in the theatre in the day of the panegyris (festival organized by the technitai). The proclamation of the crown would follow that of the civic communities (meta ton demon).
Kraton was honoured with three portraits (eikones):
- one was erected in the theatre of Teos. This was to be crowned during the festivals celebrated by the civic community itself, i.e. in the festival of the Dionysia and in all other festivals (IG XI.4 1061, ll. 28-9).
- the second one was to be erected on Delos, so that the technitai who happen to be present might crown it.
- the third one was to be erected in a location chosen by Kraton himself.
These honour would stand as a permanent record of his eusebeia (piety) towards the gods, philodoxia in his dealings with kings and queens, and of his goodwill (eunoia) toward the brothers of king Eumenes and the Dionysiac technitai (ll. 31-34).
