Personal:Ἁγητορείοι, Hagetor - From the Greek personal name Ἁγήτωρ, Hagetor (LGPN s.v. no. 8). The compound name likely suggests a founder or a benefactor of the association, (cf. Thomsen (forthcoming), Gabrielsen 1997 p. 126-7, Maiuri 1916 p. 141, Poland 1909 p. 73-6, see also CAPInv. 2063 and CAPInv. 2065).
Theophoric:Μουσαϊσταί, Mousaistai - From the muses (Morrelli, I culti in Rodi [Pisa, 1959] 61, 162-63).
Note The character of the association is greatly reminiscent of other associations described as κοινὸν, koinon, although the descriptive term has been omitted in this case.
