XII. NOTES

i. Comments Sartre in IGLS takes the term as a mistake for χαλκοτύποι, chalkotypoi. He justly notes the difficulty that the form is in the nominative, not in the genitive as the other seat inscriptions. He therefore offers as a second possibility χαλκα(τύπων) τόποι, chalka(typon) topoi.
